In a significant development, the Income Tax Department conducted a raid on the premises of Anil Industries, a businessman’s establishment suspected of tax evasion. The operation, led by a team comprising more than 50 officers, targeted various locations including a bungalow in Madhavnagar and the firm situated at Peerbaba Bypass.
The raid commenced with officers scrutinizing documents at the bungalow located in the suburban area of Katni Nagar, followed by an inspection of the firm’s premises in front of Anil’s Nirankari Bhawan. The team, comprising officers from Jabalpur and Bhopal, arrived in a fleet of luxury cars, signaling the magnitude of the investigation.
The thorough investigation includes examining stocks, purchase and sale registers, as well as computers and laptops at Anil Industries. The presence of a police team alongside the Income Tax Department underscores the seriousness of the operation.
Anil Industries is known for its involvement in property work, particularly in flour and pulse milling. The raid, aimed at uncovering potential tax evasion, is expected to span over two days, with officers meticulously examining all relevant documents and electronic devices.
